ONTARIO'S NEAR NORTH
In the wintertime, Ontario's Near North transforms itself into a wondrous land of snow-sculpted forests and frozen lakes. Home of "The Greatest Snow on Earth," the Near North Trail Association maintains 3,500 km (2,100 mi.) of OFSC snowmobiling trails that stretch from Novar in the south, north to Temagami, and from Lake Nipissing in the west, east to Mattawa.
